Renowned pro skateboarder Nora Vasconcellos and adidas Skateboarding are joining forces to create a collection of apparel and footwear releasing later this month. Labeled NORA by Nora Vasconcellos, the capsule revolves around a new shoe silhouette that combines Steffi Graf, Nastase and other classic adidas designs. The sneaker itself features a dual-layer toe cap for added durability and a supportive sole for an extended board feel.
When it comes to clothing, the offering carries a similar vintage aesthetic with select items made from recycled polyester. Vasconcellos spoke about the partnership in a press release.
I am so proud and excited to share my new figure with the world. It was an unreal experience to work with adidas to make my dream come true. I originally looked to adidas tennis classics for an aesthetic that I would have found in my mom’s closet in the 90s, which was my biggest inspiration for the pack. Designing the pieces was an incredible and thorough process filled with excitement and gratitude. I hope this collection inspires everyone to pursue the things they think are unattainable. Having my own shoe was so beyond my wildest dreams.
The NORA by Nora Vasconcellos sneaker is available now through adidas for US$80 with apparel releasing October 18th.
