Ajla Tomljanovic joins American Athleisure Brand Original Penguin after parting ways with K-Swiss

The world of tennis has many fans. This means that professional tennis is a good sport that brands can use to advertise and maximize their reach with potential buyers. Nike, Rolex, Emirates, Polo, Ralf Lauren, Adidas, Head, Wilson are some of the big brands in tennis. Today, American brand Original Penguin stepped onto the tennis court with Croatian-born Ajla Tomljanovic as their first brand ambassador.

Nike, Crocodile, Adidas, Lacoste and ASICS are some of the names that have dominated the sports side of tennis. Of course, brands choose players that match their brand value and reputation in the market. From shoes and headbands to racquets, most items used by popular players are sponsored.

Wimbledon 2021 quarter-finalist Ajla Tomljanovic, who had a contract with Nike and K-Swiss for clothing, will now wear Original Penguin during the match.

The 28-year-old Croatia born (accepted Australian citizenship in 2018) had K-Swiss and Nike as sponsors until 2021.

But since then, she has found “Pete”, the penguin, her new companion in the field. She was thrilled to be part of the American Classic. She said, “I look forward to this brand partnership that delivers such an iconic story and am thrilled to be a part of its future evolution into tennis.”

She is the 1st to wear a traditional 60-year-old brand, which is getting into tennis with the spring 2022 women’s clothing line. The brand also works in the footwear and eyewear section.

Other tennis stars and their associated clothing brands

Many tennis stars show off their skills as well as their stylish sportswear. Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev wear Adidas clothes while top seeds Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev wear Lacoste T-shirts.
