Following last year’s remake of the 1990 home shirt, adidas and Arsenal announced the release of yet another retro kit ahead of the holiday season. This year, the duo bring back the 1993-1994 away jersey.

In addition to the hero jersey (which is available in long and short sleeve versions), the adidas x Arsenal collection includes a sweater, a zipped jacket and a t-shirt.

In the early ’90s, the jersey was part of adidas’ EQT lineup, which was recently brought back and is expected to be a big part of Three Stripes’ marketing plans in 2022. The jersey is also representative of a period of success in Arsenal. story, with the team winning the Cup Winners’ Cup in the kit.

Ian Wright, who played for Arsenal during this time, features in the campaign alongside current Arsenal male and female players. “I have amazing memories of playing in the adidas EQT jersey during the 93/94 season, and it’s great to celebrate that time with such a comprehensive and appropriate collection,” he said. “The line has all the classics and we had a lot of fun on set playing our different roles. I even had to remind some of the guys and women in the first team that we won the Cup Winners’ Cup that season, so now that it’s back we have to win something!

The shirt features the retro Arsenal badge alongside the old-fashioned JVC sponsor logo on the chest. A yellow base is interrupted by diagonal navy blue stripes and red accents on the trim.

All items are available for purchase at adidas.com, official club stores and select retailers starting December 13.
