eToro signs a new partnership with Arsenal Club

Social investment platform eToro has signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with Arsenal Football Club.

As both parties have agreed, eToro will be exposed to the millions of Gunners fans and followers worldwide through a wide range of marketing and educational opportunities. Promotional efforts will aim to educate Arsenal fans about investment opportunities in the equity, EFT and cryptocurrency markets, allowing it to expand the target audience.

As part of its sponsorship program, eToro will secure the advertising rights to Arsenal’s various online platforms, as well as a presence at Emirates Stadium on match day through advertising on LED perimeter panels and media backgrounds.

Full financial terms have not been officially disclosed, but some industry estimates suggest eToro is expected to pay six figures a year for such luxury. Sports partnerships amounting to $ 10 million are no longer a surprise and no longer a wait at top clubs. Arsenal already have the third-biggest kit deal in the football scene after signing a five-year, $ 391 million contract with sportswear giant Adidas in 2018.

While there are many other examples of the intersection between sports and online commerce, the deal between the Gunners and eToro is a pretty big step in bringing assets like cryptocurrency to a very large audience. .

Arsenal Commercial Director Peter Silverstone commented: “eToro has a solid background in football sponsorship and we are very happy to establish a long term partnership with one of the leading investment platforms. The eToro partnership is an important part of our business growth strategy and we look forward to delivering informative and educational campaigns to our millions of supporters around the world on the benefits of prudent investing.

eToro Global Sponsorship Manager, Dylan Holman added: “We are delighted to have partnered with Arsenal. As a global multi-asset investment platform, we want to open financial markets to everyone. We look forward to working with the Club to help bring fans closer to the action while educating them to invest. “

eToro already signs Premier League multi-club agreements with Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Southampton. The Israeli company, which is gearing up for a catchy $ 10 billion IPO, is also one of European football’s biggest sponsors. Specifically, he has built a strong portfolio of top clubs including Bundesliga clubs RB Leipzig, FC Cologne, FC Union Berlin, VfL Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt.
