RetailMeNot declared its first annual Cash Back Day holiday in 2019 – but 2021 is by far its biggest year yet.

“Last year we partnered with just over 200 retailers for Cash Back Day,” said McGrath. “This year, we are thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with over 1,000 retailers for Cash Back Day, our largest number of stores to date, featuring deals from top retailers including Nike, Amazon, Adidas, Macy’s, UGG, Academy and many more. Following.”

Part of the logic behind the unveiling of Cash Back Day so early in the holiday shopping season has to do with shipping delays and inventory shortage issues.

“Cash Back Day is the perfect opportunity to save money early on in holiday gift shopping and avoid shipping delays before gift season,” said McGrath.

Shopping vacations are expected to delight not only shoppers, but participating retailers as well during this most competitive time of year.

“According to our recent survey, over a quarter of consumers said they would spend more with merchants this season if they offered Cash Back Rewards,” McGrath said. “So it’s clear that buyers are really strategizing this year, not only around the price of the sticker, but also around those little extras that allow them to increase the value of a purchase.”
