Youth of Paris x adidas Campus 80s: first look & info

Alex Lopez’s neon-tinted aesthetic is fully on display in Youth of Paris’ new collaboration with adidas. Launched this week by the man himself, we see the burgeoning French brand reinventing one of Adidas ‘most iconic silhouettes in the Campus’ 80s through a DIY lens.

The black pair comes with a distressed denim upper that is detailed with seemingly disorganized stitching. Unlike the black thread, the purple stitching looks more calculated on the medial side and at the heel of the shoe. Additional pops of color breathe life into the pair on the tongue where the Youth of Paris branding is applied in a neon green hue. Other hits from the brand then emerge via the three stripes on the sides as well as the Trefoil logo on the heels.

“Unreal to have my first shoe in hand, the challenge was so exciting designing on one of my favorite Adidas silhouettes,” Lopez said on Instagram, revealing that the materials would improve over time, ultimately creating an aging specific individual. to each pair.

The Youth of Paris x adidas Campus 80s comes with three sets of laces: black, purple and neon green, in addition to a card holder with a special ID card. For now, it remains to be seen when, precisely, the collaboration will arrive, but Lopez has revealed that a release will take place in 2021.
